Everyone looks away in shame. How can we sink to such a low level ?

Trying to find the words to explain this horrendous performance, is far from easy. To sum it up you would simply say we were a disgrace. Playing poorly is one thing, that can be attributed to a lack of ability, but showing ill discipline is another and is simply not acceptable, especially in this league. Unfortunately we have a few individuals in our side that are causing us additional problems that we don't need. The majority of our team are however well disciplined and played no part in the fracas.

This isn't the sort of game that really warrants a detailed match report, so therefore it isn't getting one.

Additional problems with players pulling out last minute didn't help things. It really is down to all the individuals concerned to ask themselves if they want to play football on a Sunday morning, some people would be better off participating in a Gerry Springer show, there they can argue as much as they like. We simply don't want to hear it. The idea is that we play football on a Sunday morning!

Despite the shambles, the second half did produce some decent football, after all the ho ha of the first half, maybe we realised the error of our ways and kept our mouths shut and actually played football. There were even periods of the second half where we were the better team, but then NCR were so far in front, to be fair to them, they probably weren't even trying!

Ironically we suffered a similar misery this time last season, losing by a similar score line (7-2) also playing most of the game with 10 men, although that was more forgivable as our opponents then were Div 10 champions Roundshaw.

You have to go back over two years to find the last time we lost by this margin, ironically 6-0 v. NC Royals!

Highlights of the game (for us) saw Joe and Leroy have decent efforts on goal, only for the Royals keeper to pull off some commendable saves.

After last season and the progress we made, it seemed that the dark and distant days were over, but even in those days, we still never showed the poor discipline that we did today.

We've got a cup game this week and it is the last chance of us savouring something. If we perform like this against Torres, they will have a field day. Heaven forbid what would happen if we played like this against Nuwood in our Christmas fixture!

Enough of the doom and gloom, lets just put it behind us and put it down to experience. We certainly don't want to experience this sort of thing again.
