22 May 2004 Presentation Evening at Kempton Race Course

Presentation Night 2004 was this year an all day affair, starting off with the Cup Final on the big screen at Kempton. Unfortunately the big screen didn't perform and neither did Millwall, but it was still an enjoyable day, ending off in McCluskey's in Kingston.

This was Matty's year, winning three awards, including the big one - Player of the Season. It was an exciting race for Player of the Season this year, but in the end Matty edged Damion out. Last year Matty won Most Improved Player and quite remarkably retained his title. He may have been slightly fortunate in this category, as a lot of players are new and there weren't many contenders for the crown. Another award which was closely contested, was Most Appearances, 5 players had appeared in all but two games, but Matty played 21 and was there for all 22 games. The only other player to have been there for all 22 games was Ed.

Damion missed out for the second year running. However winning the Golden Boot along with the runner-up prize, must have helped ease Dame's disappointment.

There were only three winners, sharing the six awards and Tom wins Most Valued Effort. Not bad considering this is his first season with the club. Being there for all but one game and organising the training were major factors.

The roll of honour was as follows:

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: Matty Aitken
Runner-up: Damion Huxtable
Third: Richie Wall

MOST IMPROVED PLAYER: Matty Aitken (retains title)

MOST APPEARANCES FOR THE SEASON: Matty Aitken
Runner-up: Edward Hanlon
Third: Tom Barrett and Richie Wall

TOP GOALSCORER: Damion Huxtable
Runner-up: Richie Wall
Third: Daniel Lawless

MOST VALUED EFFORT: Tom Barrett
Runner-up: Jeremy Wall
Third: Matty Aitken and Richie Wall
