20 January 2002 - Match Card Crisis - The result will stand

The allegations against us for having two illegible players playing in the game against Sutton Heritage, earlier this season have been overturned, in the hearing early on this evening (8.15) at Gander Green Lane.

Matthew Blackmore and Kirk Dillen, were both facing allegations of providing dodgy signatures and therefore being suspect ringers for our vital win (4-3) against table toppers Sutton Heritage back in November. This is much relief to us all and now we concentrate on the league.

The influencing decision - the pictures taken by Damien's misses, which were deemed conclusive proof that the players concerned were genuine. We all owe her a big thank you.

In uncanny fashion Richie came back home to open an envelope, which contained a fine! Well what's a couple of quid, compared to 3 points!
