May 2002 - End Of Season Presentation Night

The end of season presentation night at Wimbledon Dogs,
was a great success: An enjoyable night, with a good turnout.
It was an all-new top three in the Player
Of The Season awards. Simon Bibby in his debut season for DCFC cruised
home to snatch the award, all players dream of! Glenn Moore's impressive
tally of goals was noted and he takes the runner-up spot and congratulations
also go to Ronnie, who has had a very consistent season at left back and
is rewarded with third place overall.
So Simon takes the main award, but it was in general a good night for
Glenn Moore (although he sadly couldn't be there!) who won 2 awards: Most
improved Player (a strange award for someone of his maturity) and top
goalscorer, as well as coming second overall in the Player Of The Season
voting.
Commitment was also rewarded, as Ed who is in general a lazy player, is
also an evergreen for the club and has been for the last 3 seasons. I
believe he has missed only 2 games in the last 3 seasons, something to
be proud of.
The roll of honour was as follows:
PLAYER OF THE SEASON: Simon Bibby
Runner-up: Glenn Moore
Third: Ronnie Chotai
Most Improved Player: Glenn Moore
Most Appearances for the Season: Edward Hanlon
Top Goalscorer: Glenn Moore
Most Valued Effort: Jeremy Wall |
